ooooh...a present!

I feel like a kid again....

My buddy, Kim, sent me a birfday present!!!!!

I hafta be obedient cuz she won't let me open it til Saturday...

But I can still look at it every day!!!! :o)

Thank you, Kim! You are sooooo sweet!!!!!

My friends, Janet and Tim, have offered to take my boys camping for three days. That, my dears, is a gift for my boys as well; they don't get to go camping very often...mostly because their mother has zero experience in that area. I'm not going to make them go, but I'm hoping that they take advantage of this opportunity.

I'll keep ya'll posted. Peace!

Hi there!

"God's girl" found my blog and commented on it, so I'm having fun today peeking in on some of her friends.

I teach high school math, and we start back on the 18th. I wish I could say my lesson plans are done, but the district has switch to a new alignment thing and we'll all be starting from scratch. Bummer!

You have a great day and a wonderful school year!

I'm afraid I'm terrible at math!

I'm a 9th grade English teacher who is itching to get back to work. Our district just finished building a new high school, and it's absolutely gorgeous. I can't wait to start the new year! I have to wait until September 2nd, though.

I can't tell you how many curriculum maps I've helped write over the last few years. That is the epitome of boring, isn't it? Why don't they just trust teachers who obviously know what they're doing? They expect us to write the darn maps...why not let us be a bit more creative in how we hit each benchmark?

Perhaps your district honors you a bit more than mine. I must admit, though, that I still love my job, and my principal is one tough cookie. I have grown to love her dearly since she was hired two years ago. I am truly blessed!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Oh dear...my accent! It is terrible! Even Texans ask me where I'm from. Somehow I picked up a hint of Alabama even though my grandparents left there in 1916. I've decided God smiles when He thinks of the multitude of times He's used my accent to keep me humble. :)

Your site is great! I am so technology deficient that I've had to stop worrying about how mine looks. From time-to-time I have one of my sons-in-law do something to it, or a friend of mine, but I've seen several today that put mine to shame. They are so bright and cheery.

God has been so good...my new principal for this year is a man I worked under 6 years ago with another district. I would have never dreamed he'd make a change. I am elated!

Let's keep in touch. Drop me a note anytime on my site and I'll get back with you asap.

In Christ...
